Material Technology Scope

TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. certifies steel mills and foundries according to German Code Requirements (e.g. Pressure and Steam Boiler Codes). In addition, we test, approve and certify materials/products in accordance with German, European and other international requirements and codes.

Steel Mill and Foundry approvals are often related to the Pressure Equipment industry. Steels and castings must meet European codes and requirements in order to be acceptable for the manufacture of pressure equipment. Only approved mills/foundries can issue suitable certification. If steel has been purchased from non-approved companies or if it is not certified in accordance with (for instance) German codes and requirements, TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. can individually test and certify such products.
