Children's Equipment

Products with the TÜV GS Mark offer a guarantee of safety and quality standards. The European Low Voltage Directive applies to insulated tools and the European Directive for Machinery applies to power operated tools such as air tools and power tools. Sporting Equipment
At present there is no European Directive for Sporting Equipment due to the fact that sporting goods cannot carry a CE Mark. The CE Marking found on such equipment applies to their electrical/electronic components e.g. battery powered displays, etc. Some equipment is wrongly recognized as sporting equipment. Depending on where the product will actually be used, it may be considered Personnel Protective Equipment (e.g. a protector for inline skating). Even though a CE Mark can currently be issued for sporting goods, safety testing for these products is still highly recommended.
