EN 61010-1 Design Tips:
Power Supplies
Component power supplies separately approved to EN 60950 are acceptable for use in equipment under the scope of EN 61010. However, there are some differences between EN 60950 and EN 61010 and additional testing may need to be performed.
Software Safety
Software safety is not specifically addressed in EN 61010 at present and therefore, there are no specific guidelines mentioned. Separate standards exist that deal with topic.
Generally, it is advised that devices do not depend on software for their safe operation. There should be a separate independent means provided to prevent a dangerous condition.
